Students had an opportunity to let loose and have some fun Wednesday last Wednesday at the Spring Fling on the John Robert Lewis Quad.

The evening event, held by Troy UAC, was packed full of food, games and music.

“UAC hosted Spring Fling to give students the opportunity to let their hair down in a safe and fun environment right before finals,” said Myles Camel, who serves as vice president of Campus Affairs.

Despite the cold temperature that night, students gathered in mass for good food and a good time. T-shirts were also given to the first 500 students to attend.

Students could choose from a variety of free food options, such as hamburgers, hotdogs, funnel cakes, fried Oreos, snow cones and corndogs.

DJ Red, kept the crowd entertained with music, colorful commentary and line dances.

There was a plethora of games to choose from including giant Uno, jumbo Connect Four and jumbo Jenga.

Students who registered also had the chance to play in the 101 Elite Men kickball tournament that was played during Spring Fling.

Although Spring Fling was the last event held by the UAC this semester, students can look forward to all of the exciting events for Fall 2021.

“The calendar for Fall semester has plenty of amazing events on it that begin as early as Welcome Week,” Camel said.
